Os pa\u00edses considerados subdesenvolvidos almejavam sair desse patamar e alcan\u00e7ar o desenvolvimento. Para isso, os recursos naturais de cada pa\u00eds foram explorados. A id\u00e9ia de usinas hidrel\u00e9tricas foi mundialmente incentivada nos 1930 e 1950 (Oliveira, 2018). O Brasil se alinhou a essa vis\u00e3o, uma vez que tinha o objetivo de superar o atraso e a pobreza no pa\u00eds (Oliveira, 2018). Atualmente, uma \u00e1rea de 3513,29 km\u00b2 est\u00e1 inundada. A presen\u00e7a da UHT impede o fluxo migrat\u00f3rio de peixes entre o baixo e o m\u00e9dio Tocantins, al\u00e9m de transformar um ambiente l\u00f3tico em l\u00eantico (CBM, 2000), onde anteriormente haviam corredeiras rasas de \u00e1guas claras e posteriormente se tornaram um grande lago profundo e barrento (Gilbert <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">et al.,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> 2020).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-3ed4a39 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"3ed4a39\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-037c2ad\" data-id=\"037c2ad\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bfe67b9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bfe67b9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Neste ano de 2020, um estudo foi publicado sobre as mudan\u00e7as morfol\u00f3gicas que ocorreram em v\u00e1rias esp\u00e9cies de peixes ap\u00f3s o represamento do rio Tocantins (Gilbert <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">et al.,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> 2020). Para isso, seis esp\u00e9cies de cicl\u00eddeos (peixes da fam\u00edlia Cichlidae) coletados em 2018 foram comparados morfologicamente com cicl\u00eddeos coletados na mesma localidade antes ou logo ap\u00f3s o fechamento da Hidrel\u00e9trica de Tucuru\u00ed em 1984.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mudan\u00e7as foram observadas em duas esp\u00e9cies, <em>Cichla<\/em><\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> kelberi e <em>Cichla<\/em> pinima<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. A primeira desenvolveu \u201cdeep body\u201d, corpo mais largo na dire\u00e7\u00e3o das costas a barriga do que da boca a barbatana caudal, e boca maior. A segunda foi oposta, onde desenvolveu um corpo mais alongado. Para as esp\u00e9cies <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Geophagus neambi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> e <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Satanoperca jurupari<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, ocorreram mudan\u00e7as associadas \u00e0 morfologia da cabe\u00e7a, como mudan\u00e7as no tamanho e posicionamento dos olhos, comprimento da mand\u00edbula, dimens\u00f5es do cr\u00e2nio e tamanhos dos op\u00e9rculos. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Caquetaia spectabilis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> e <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Heros efasciatus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, tamb\u00e9m exibiram altera\u00e7\u00f5es na morfologia do corpo e da cabe\u00e7a.
