What is OCA Social?
The OCA - Social is young, it is science and it is Amazonian
We were born in the decade of information and with the will to transform the world!
We are an initiative of young researchers from the Amazon, accelerated and restless, and our goal is to connect academic and traditional knowledge. We work collaboratively through citizen science, and in our exchanges of knowledge, we seek to engage communities on the Amazon coast and in this way enrich our worldview.
The OCA - Social also promotes actions from the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and uses communication as a method to reach different sectors. We also seek life quality for our and future generations and, therefore, we work on four Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the United Nations: SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being, SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 14 - Life, according to the 2030 agenda.
We who are young, scientists and Amazonian invite you to embark on this discovery journey and knowledge in search of a better planet.
